Dr. Eckhardt Ferdinandi

Dr. Ferdinandi has spent over 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry.  His expertise is in the areas of medicinal chemistry, preclinical and clinical ADME, pharmacokinetics and bioanalysis.  He has held research and management positions of increasing responsibility (to the level of VP) in Pharma, CRO and biotechnology companies gaining experience in drug discovery, preclinical and clinical drug development, formulation development for parenteral injection of peptides, immunochemistry and development of methods for detection immunogenic effects (anti-drug antibodies).  Dr. Ferdinandi received his doctorate in synthetic organic chemistry from McGill University (Montréal, Canada) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in chemistry at Colorado University and a NRCC industrial postdoctoral fellowship in medicinal chemistry at Ayerst Laboratories (now Wyeth) in Montréal.  He has published and presented widely in areas of medicinal chemistry, radiolabelled synthesis, disposition/pharmacokinetics of drugs and chemicals and bioanalysis.
